The Project consisted in the Design
and Construction of Asphalt Pavement at the Air Base
Apron Area located in the Toncontin
Airport-Honduras, removal of existing asphalt
pavement, pavement marking and removal of existing
joint sealant and replacement with new joint sealant
of the concrete parking area which were integrated
in the following way:
- Removal of existing pavement 5,615 m2
- New Asphalt pavement 54,575 m2
- Pavement marking 1,250 ml
- Removal and replacement of joint sealant 1,280 ml
The asphalt layer was of 5 cm. thickness. The paint
used was reflective paint with micro spheres. The
joint sealant used was fuel proof.
